Magic Tree House Research Guide : Rain Forests

Magic Tree House Research Guide: Rain Forests
by Will Osborne and Mary Pope Osborne
Review by David

This book is full of facts about the rain forest. Here are some things that I learned...

1. There used to be thousands of woolly spider monkeys, and now there are only 700.
2. Most of our natural resources come from the rain forest.
3. The Amazon Rain Forest gets about 18 feet of rain each year. We only get about 3 feet of rain.
4.The biggest tropical rain forest in the world is the Amazon, in South America.

I think other boys and girls would like this book because it teaches you lessons about the rain forest. There are not a lot of resources and animals left in the rain forest. It is important for us to know about the rain forest because we need to know how to take care of it so that we will be able to have this resource to live!

  1. Good morning!

I LOVE that you are sharing your reading adventures and discoveries with a global audience, David and Tyler! If you don't mind, I am going to share your blog with my Grade Three students on MONDAY! It might inspire them to start a reading blog themselves over the summer months. I hope that you get LOTS of feedback on your blog because I think blogging is an incredible tool for sharing your discoveries with the world, and learning from your Global Audience too! Keep up the inspirational work, boys! I know I will be following your book recommendations!
